FEM crooner and Nigeria’s top-earning musician, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido, OBO (Omo Baba Olowo), recently confessed that his three siblings, Adewale, Sharon, Coco are way richer than he is. How true is this?
Hear him, “If I work in my dad’s power plant I will be a billionaire in dollars. I am only doing music because I love the craft.”
From investigations, none of the Adeleke’s children are yet billionaires in dollars, not even daddy Adeleke himself has reached the one billion dollar pinnacle. Though you can count the Adeleke family members as billionaires in naira.
One truth is that their father made his four kids (including Davido) directors in his company, Pacific Holdings, located at Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja. It is also a fact that with the exception of Davido, who has a Bachelor’s degree in Art, his three siblings are all master’s degree holders, and are heavily involved in the running of the company’s affairs. Notwithstanding, Davido on his own, as done tremendously well carving out a niche in the world music industry within a decade. Let’s check out these siblings of his and determine whether Davido really meant what he said or he was just playing the humble pie. David is more like the baby brother among his siblings and he is currently worth $16 million.
According to controversial journalist and Pharmacist, Kemi Olunloyo, “Wale is the son of Deji Adeleke’s baby mama Grace before he married late Veronica”…. Davido’s mother. That makes Wale the first child of Adedeji Adeleke. Adewale was born 11th of December 1988 in Atlanta, USA.
Adewale Adeleke is a music producer, and his record label, the HKN Music, is known to be a family music label with signed artists B-Red and Shina Rambo, both of whom are his cousins. David was formally signed to HKN before creating his own DMW record label.
It was recently reported around the beginning of August that the HKN boss had acquired a private jet for himself. This came just a few months after his father, Adedeji, splashed billions on acquiring his own jet plane.
Adewale Adeleke has an estimated net worth of $60 million dollars. Being the chairman of the HKN record label and the executive director of Pacific Holdings. Certainly, the elder brother is richer than Davido.
Sharon Adeleke Ademefun
Beautiful, intelligent, and married. These simply describe the wig maker cum Human Resources manager Pacific Holdings. She is the owner and CEO of Rona Wigs Studio; a company that sells wigs, hair weaves, braids. When asked in an interview why she was making wigs, Sharon replied: “Yes my daddy has his money but it is not my money. My daddy has his own money, Davido has him, I want to make mine.”
Sharon is married to Yomi Ademefun, who is the MD/CEO of Uxbridge Investment Company Ltd, an export commodity company. Sharon lives outside Nigeria. She shies away from social media and publicity. Unfortunately, Sharon’s net worth is not listed on Forbes. We might be biased to say she may not be as rich as Davido.
Davido’s elder sister, Ashley Coco Adeleke, made the news in the past during her wedding and the child trafficking issue leveled against her by the Momodus. This happened after a fracas broke out between Davido and one of his baby mamas, Sophie Momodu. Sophie and Davido’s daughter was taken into custody by Coco after the duo had a fight in Dubai.
The Momodus then filled a child trafficking charge against Coco (Imade’s aunt!). Other news about Coco was recent. She was reported to drag Davido to church. With respect to her current financial worth, Forbes is also silent about that.
From the look of things, only Adewale and their father are richer than Davido. But none of his siblings are billionaires in dollars. So if Davido wasn’t doing music and was working in Pacific Holdings, I doubt whether he would have become a billionaire in dollars by now.
